He instigated and co-drafted ABTA’s Animal Welfare Guidelines (2013) and following his establishment of ANIMONDIAL, a specialist consultancy to help businesses better manage impact on animals and the natural environment, Daniel has co-authored two WTTC publications, “Preventing Illegal Wildlife Trade” (2021) and “Towards a Nature Positive Travel & Tourism” (2022)
“Regenerate” is the third pathway of the Glasgow Declaration of Climate Action in Tourism, however it is usually the pathway which needs the most explanation. In a nutshell, it is about going further than reducing tourism’s negative impacts on the environment to positively restoring and protecting ecosystems through natural methods. This webinar will introduce you to the topic and will showcase some examples of regeneration projects funded by travel companies.
